A high converting website is not the prettiest one. It is the one that makes it dead easy for someone standing in a leaking laundry to work out that you can help and to get you on the phone.
Here is what we build into every tradie site we make, and why each part matters.
Say what you do and where you do it, up top
Someone should know within two seconds that you are a plumber, that you work in their area, and that you are taking work. Clever taglines cost you jobs.
A headline like Emergency and general plumbing across the Northern Beaches does more work than anything creative.
Your phone number needs to be tappable everywhere
Most tradie enquiries come from a phone. Put a tap to call button in the header, in the hero, and again at the bottom of every page.
If someone has to pinch and zoom to find your number, they have already rung the next mob down the list.
Trust signals do the selling for you
People are letting a stranger into their home. Give them reasons to relax.
- ✓Your licence number and insurance details, written plainly
- ✓Google reviews pulled through with real names and suburbs
- ✓Photos of your actual work and your actual ute, not stock images
- ✓A face. A short line about who runs the business goes a long way
Short forms and fast pages
Name, phone, suburb and a short description of the job. That is all you need to quote. Every extra field cuts your enquiries.
Speed matters too. If your site takes more than three seconds on 4G in the middle of a suburb, a good chunk of people leave before they ever see it.
